Kayak of Palogne

Kayaking down the Ourthe River is one of the best ways to explore the Ardennes. At Domaine de Palogne , you can kayak 7.8 km between Barvaux and Ferme de Palogne , a trip that takes about two hours . Along the way, you'll paddle through forests, past cliffs, and through open landscapes—who knows? You might even see a fish leap or a heron watching you. The route, designed to be environmentally friendly, is located within a Natura 2000 protected area.

Kayaks are available in single , double , or triple (two adults and a small child) configurations. All necessary equipment, such as life jackets, is provided. You can even rent a dry bag to keep your belongings dry! Upon arrival, changing rooms and showers are available, and a shuttle will take you back to the starting point.

The weather and water level determine whether the adventure is possible: if the water is too high or too low, the kayaks remain at the dock. It's best to book in advance and check the conditions before setting off.

After the walk, the estate still offers plenty of activities: a tavern with local dishes, a playground for children, and even mountain biking for those who still have energy to spare!
