Nestled in the heart of the Sources Natural Park , between meadows, woodlands, and peaceful trails, Le Fagotin is a rural eco-educational center where nature becomes a living learning environment. Every activity and every encounter is designed as an opportunity for discovery and sharing, reconnecting everyone to what is essential: life itself, others, and oneself. The surrounding landscape, rich and varied, invites us to slow down, observe, and understand, far from the daily grind, in order to rediscover simple points of reference and a renewed appreciation for the natural world.
Le Fagotin offers a wide range of activities : nature workshops , guided walks , donkey treks , a petting farm , and seasonal events . These are all opportunities to be amazed while learning. The activities are based on hands-on experience : identifying a plant, interpreting a landscape, understanding soil, caring for an animal, exploring a stream and its biodiversity , or experimenting with sustainable practices . Each activity encourages curiosity , cooperation , and respect for all living things .

The Fagotin's educational approach is based on a powerful idea: learning by doing. This active, hands-on pedagogy values autonomy and experimentation. We don't just talk about nature; we experience it, touch it, observe it, manipulate it, compare it, and ask questions. This immersion makes the experience impactful and accessible, especially for young people or those less familiar with the natural environment, and restores confidence in our ability to act and learn differently, together.
Committed to Environmental Education (EE) for many years, Le Fagotin aims to make environmental issues understandable and concrete for everyone, regardless of age, background, or level of knowledge. The organization's values—citizenship, sustainability, solidarity, and compassion—are reflected in its approach to supporting groups, selecting topics, and fostering an atmosphere of open communication. The objective is clear: to develop responsible, active, and engaged citizens who are mindful of the environment and the human dimension of every action.

To carry out this mission, Le Fagotin is organized around three complementary axes .
The first is the educational reception area and the communal living spaces . These are places to gather, exchange ideas, create, and reflect. Workshop rooms , outdoor spaces , and observation areas allow for alternating group time, field explorations, and moments of synthesis. The site functions as an open-air laboratory , connecting concrete observations with concepts of cycles , balance , and fragility .
The second focus is on activities offered to visitors: nature workshops, guided walks, donkey rides, an educational farm and seasonal events.
The third focus, the historical heart of Le Fagotin , is educational stays . Schools , youth groups , international organizations , and community projects develop immersive programs centered on nature , self-reliance , and community living . These experiences are often transformative: learning by doing, organizing together, developing critical thinking, and connecting practical experience to societal issues .
