Ourthe loop at Esneux

Route description

A pleasant 7.57 km hike starting from Esneux , which will allow you to discover the Ourthe valley from different perspectives. This loop trail takes you along the river, passing by emblematic sites of local river and historical heritage.

Departure and start of the hike

The starting point is in Esneux , from the car park near the town centre. From the beginning, follow the banks of the Ourthe on a peaceful path, offering lovely views of the river's meanders.

The Léon Souguenet Monument , erected in memory of this former mayor and benefactor of the municipality
L'ancienne écluse no. 11 , a vestige of the region's industrial river past

Return to the starting point

The loop closes as it gradually returns to the heart of Esneux, along paths alternating between undergrowth and open sections. Reaching the village allows you to finish the walk with a stroll through its lively streets.
