In the heart of Domaine Le Val de l'Aisne in Blier , a family-run campsite open year-round in the Ardennes , the Val de l'Aisne carpodrome is a favorite spot for carp fishing enthusiasts . The large pond is located right in the middle of the campsite, surrounded by greenery and the estate's pathways. The carpodrome is open to everyone , from campers to day anglers . The pond is accessible from 7:00 am until sunset . Fishing permits are available at reception from 8:00 am .

Whether you're an experienced angler or a beginner , bites are frequent in this bountiful pond. The water is over 200 meters long and over 80 meters wide , with a maximum depth of approximately 3 meters . The waters of the Aisne River flow through the pond, ensuring fresh, oxygenated water . The carp are mostly around 3 kilos on average , with some specimens exceeding 10 kilos . Roach and bream round out the potential catches.

The carp fishing lake is suitable for all common commercial fishing techniques . Fixed poles , pellet wagglers , method feeders , and spods are all well-suited to the water. As for bait, corn , pellets , luncheon meat , and boilies produce good results. You must bring your own equipment , as no rentals are available.

The resort's ambiance enhances the experience. On-site amenities (brasserie, restaurant, comfortable restrooms ) allow guests to alternate between fishing sessions and relaxing on the terrace . Fishing competitions are held regularly, and fishing clubs can host their events there. Trout fishing is also possible in the Aisne River , with permits available at reception (subject to conditions).
