This 61km cycling route starting in Spa immerses you in the heart of the region's rolling landscapes, between dense forests, winding roads, and iconic climbs. The route will notably take you to the Col du Maquisard , renowned for its consistent difficulty and idyllic setting. It's an ideal route for cyclists seeking an accessible challenge with beautiful rolling sections and a few sporty climbs.

Route and main segments

The climb towards Theux gradually prepares you for the first challenge: the Col du Maquisard (3.5 km at 5.1%). This steady and pleasant ascent winds through a dense forest, without any overly steep sections. Once at the summit, a beautiful rolling stretch leads you towards La Reid and Becco.

The route then alternates between short, dynamic climbs around La Gleize , before leading into a long descent towards Theux , ideal for picking up the pace. The fast sections follow one after another, offering unobstructed views of the valley.

The return to Spa is gentle, via a section of ridges, before tackling the final descent on wide, well-maintained roads. A final, fast section allows the route to finish at a good pace.
