Col de La Redoute: Cycling route from Aywaille

This 48.84 km cycling route starting in Aywaille offers a series of climbs, technical descents, and long wooded valleys. It is aimed at cyclists looking for challenging terrain, including the legendary climb of La Redoute , well-known to fans of Liège–Bastogne–Liège.

Route and main segments

The route starts in Aywaille , heading towards the Awan climb, which sets the tone with its gradual gradient over more than 2 km. You continue towards the Voie du Loup and Harzé , before linking several sections around Havelange , on quiet roads through fields and woods.

After passing through Werbomont , the route turns towards Remouchamps via long, flowing descents, including that of Bru-Naze , which is highly appreciated for its visibility and surface.

Next comes the highlight of the outing: the complete ascent of the Col de La Redoute , starting from the roundabout on the N633. A short but intense sequence, with slopes flirting with an average of 10% .

After passing over the plateau, the final descent takes you directly back to Aywaille , via fast straight sections, ideal for finishing at a good pace.
