The name of this place refers to the leper colony that stood here in the Middle Ages: at that time, lepers were housed outside of towns and villages. Today, this place is best known as a famous climbing spot in Namur and has acquired a more cheerful connotation! The Rochers des Grands Malades is also an ideal learning ground for anyone wanting to start rock climbing or gain independence: as the site is limited to about thirty climbers, you can learn without stress!
